Fashion Week dates and schedules 2019
Summer is on its way and therefore, many fashion events are around the corner. So, which fashion week dates and schedules do you have to know? Check it out below.
May 29 – June 2: Miami Fashion Week 2019
Miami Fashion Week has a focus on issues and challenges the fashion industry faces nowadays. From socioeconomic to environmental challenges, during the Miami Fashion Week they’ll get examined to the last detail. The Fashion Talks during the Miami Fashion Summit has the aim to support and raise awareness for sustainable fashion initiatives. “We believe that opening the lines of communication to discuss issues of great environmental importance will contribute in the refocusing of fashion as an eco-friendly industry, now and for future generations to come.” We couldn’t agree more.
June 3: CFDA Fashion Awards
The CFDA Fashion Awards 2019 will take place at the Brooklyn Museum, June 3rd. This award show recognized the top talent fashion and accessory designers from the United States. Furthermore, the Council of Fashion Designers of America owns the official fashion week schedule. On top of this, the council raises funds for HIV/AIDS organizations and put designer inclusion as a serious subject on the map during fashion week.
At the CFDA fashion awards, upcoming American talent will be recognized and honored. Diane von Furstenberg, Steven Kolb, Michael Kors and Vera Wang are among the board members.

June 30 – July 4: Paris Haute Couture Week
Paris Haute Couture Week is an important event to mark in your agenda. Whether you’re in the position to attend or not, you don’t wanna miss it (thank god for internet). We’ve earlier reported about Paris Haute Couture Week 2019, including videos of all shows. Do you remember Chanel’s spectacular show (one of Karl’s last shows), Maison Margiela’s over the top event and Dior’s extravagant circus show. We can’t wait till June 30.

August 6 – 9: Copenhagen Fashion Week Spring Summer 2020
Very happening designers are presenting during this event. We can say Copenhagen Fashion Week is getting the attention it deserves. Designer labels such as Ganni, STAND, Stine Goya and Baum und Pferdgarten will present their Summer 2020 shows at Copenhagen Fashion Week. Furthermore, the streetstyle is finger licking good.

September 6 – 11: NYFW Spring Summer 2020
One of the most important fashion week dates to note: September 6th till 9th. New York Fashion Week is the event that is able to forecast many trends for the next season. Check out last year’s NYFW here. So, be there or be square.
September 13 – 17: London Fashion Week
We love London Fashion Week. Why? Because great designers (both lesser and well known) show their extravagant and London has a raw edge which can’t be defined, but is very attractive. Looking at last year’s London Fashion Week, we can conclude this city is ahead of others concerning body positivity and diversity on the runway.

September 17 – 23: Milan Fashion Week
Milan Fashion Week contains the shows of the cool kids in the fashion industry. Think of designer labels such as Prada, Marni, Gucci and Jil Sander. Last year, Moncler Genius was the big surprise act, with puffer jackets worn as dresses, including an entire dog collection. We’ve very excited for the new season to come.

September 23 – October 1: Paris Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is – of course – a classic. You simply want to be there to spot the stylish and nonchalant Parisians. On top of this, Virginie Viard will have her second show for Chanel, which is (maybe) even more exciting.

December 8 – 12: NYFW December Pre-fall & Fall 2020
Those who attended last year’s New York Fashion Week are lucky bastards. Amongst others, Dion Lee, Proenza Schouler, Dennis Basso and Tomo Koizumi had amazing shows. We expect a lot from this year’s edition.
