Everything you need to know about Ashley Biden – Joe Biden’s youngest daughter

Now that everyone is used to the news that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have become President-elect and Vice President-elect respectively, it’s time to dive deeper into their lives. When doing so, we stumbled upon Ashley Biden, Joe Biden’s youngest daughter. Discover everything you need to know about this interesting lady – from her past as a social worker to her charitable clothing line.

Ashley Biden

Meet Ashley Biden – the only child from Joe Biden’s second (and current) marriage. The president-elect had three more children with his first wife Neilia, who died in a car accident together with their daughter Naomi. A couple of years ago their son Beau passed away from brain cancer, leaving Ashley with brother Hunter behind.

Joe and Jill Biden he raised their daughter in Wilmington, Delaware. When in elementary school, the young girl developed her interest in being an activist. When she discovered that cosmetics giant Bonne Cosmetics tested its products on animals, she wrote an open letter to the board of the company asking them to adapt their policies.

Social work

This form of social work and activism has been the red threat through her entire life. She currently works as a social justice activist and social worker. Before stepping down in anticipation of her father’s new role, Biden was as the executive director of the Delaware Center for Justice. This job entirely fits her values; Biden has always wanted to help others with everything she does.

Out of the spotlights

Over the years, Biden has liked to live her life outside the spotlights – despite living in the public eye due to her father. While keeping social appearances to a minimum, Biden sometimes speak up. For example, she is one of her dad’s biggest fans. When it comes to supporting her father, she never shies from expressing her support and belief in him.

During the virtual 2020 Democratic National Convention, she praised his way of working, values and personality. During a Wisconsin Women for Biden event she explained: “When I say I’m ready for a Biden presidency, it’s not just because I think my dad is the best person. With my dad as president, he will help us solve some of the great challenges of our generation.

Livelihood

With charitable fashion brand Livelihood, she taps right into her goal of giving back. Founded in 2017, Livelihood is “a socially and ethically conscious, weekend-wear apparel company that is inspired by and gives back to extraordinary, everyday people.” With this label, she paid homage to her late brother Beau. The brand’s logo includes a bow, which depicts the fact that we sometimes feel capitulated in life. “We sometimes have to be pulled all the way down to be pushed forward“, Biden told The Lily last year. The death of Beau was her metaphorical catapult. With her father being 46th the president-elect of the United States, we only expect ups from now.
