25HOURS HOTEL COPENHAGEN PAPER ISLAND

Once a paper warehouse next to the Royal Danish Opera, Copenhagen’s Paper Island was known for its famous street food market. The artificial island Paper Island was built around 300 years ago. Besides its most recent street food market, the island has proved multifunctional. A shipyard, military hospital, arsenal, and warehouses for coal and paper: it’s hard to name something that hasn’t been part of the island. But those times have ended since the former paper warehouse has been transformed into a modern hotel by architects COBE and Swedish interior designer Stylt Trampoli. The 25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island’s interior is inspired by cozy Danish holiday homes, making you feel at home (and at ease) right after you enter the space.

INTERIOR 25HOURS HOTEL

Interior design firm Stylt Trampoli created some sense of understated luxury at 25hours Hotel Paper Island, mixing natural materials with touches from the past. This appealing combination creates a cozy and warm atmosphere where every detail of the space has a story to tell. Furthermore, each hotel room has a distinct look, making the walk through the hallways a fun and visually exciting experience for guests. It’s like a mini adventure as you find your room full of surprises.

With its mix of Nordic charm and modern style, 25hours Hotel Copenhagen Paper Island invites guests to explore and discover. “We’ve created a space that combines comfort with innovation, inspired by Scandinavian summer houses and adding a modern twist,” says Anneli Soumalainen, project manager for Stylt Trampoli. “You’ll feel a sense of adventure when you step into the lobby. The rustic metals and brick floors bring back the feel of a busy harbor, setting the scene for a memorable stay. Imagine stepping off a boat onto the docks of Copenhagen, welcomed by the warmth of Danish hospitality. That’s the experience we’ve created here.”

RESTAURANTS AND BARS

The Tiger Lily restaurant, created in collaboration with Jan Tran, serves delicious Asian dishes. “We are over the moon to be allowed to broaden our concept with 25hours at an innovative and diverse location with a rich culinary tradition,” says Jan Tran. “We spirit our guests away on a trip through Asian cuisine. Our menu features Asian dishes such as pulled noodles – lamb – chili oil, and pork belly burnt ends.” The dishes are prepared in an open kitchen. Guests sit at one of the communal tables or the kitchen counter. If the Danish summer doesn’t disappoint, the terrace at the waterfront is the best spot in town.

The Nomad Day Bar offers an intimate yet vibing spot for guests and locals to relax and socialize. Most of the ingredients at Nomad are sourced locally. It’s more than an extended lobby since Nomad Day Bar’s terrace attracts the city’s coolest crowds. By day, Nomad is the neighborhood’s spot to grab a quick coffee or wind down with a book while having brunch. Furthermore, the NomadDay Bar offers a great selection of wines and a small snack selection, which form a great start to the night before heading into the city.
